Money, Goods and Services: A Study of Commerce

Learn the history and experience the wonder of the U.S. currency in one of the largest currency printing operations in the world.

Along with a trip to the facility, students study “American entrepreneurial spirit” and recount the history of early commerce in our country. Participants will create their own personal currency to demonstrate learning. Imagination Fort Worth will be providing each attending class with the book, You can’t Buy a Dinosaur with a Dime, by Harriet Ziefert, to introduce students to the concepts of counting and saving money, as well as the importance of being responsible with spending.

87% of teachers surveyed said this IFW program has a valuable creative component!
“The projects allowed me as a teacher to see the students imaginations shine. After reading the book it was eye opening to see how many students view money and the little exposure that they have to it.”
