Sid Richardson Museum: Explore the American West (1st-3rd Grade)

Explore the Wild West through art and literature!

Take students on an adventure that reflects the art and reality of the American West through artists like Russell and Remington at the Sid Richardson Museum. While at the museum, students will also receive hands on experience through an art making activity. Participants will create their own illustrated western story to demonstrate learning.

All 2nd grade classes with receive a storybook to read before and after their trip to the museum to explore historical western themes found within the galleries.
