The Life and Death of a Texas Bobwhite Quail

Students will take a trip out to beautiful Eagle Mountain Park!

For this program, students will get to perform a quail necropsy, emulate the daily life of a quail by exploring its natural habitat, and participate in hands-on learning activities that teach students about various adaptations of birds and biome. This experience will include a theatrical exercise with students hunting for food, trying to avoid predators, and living in a nest. Students will then perform a Quail CSI – investigating multiple clues to determine if the environment is a suitable habitat for Bobwhite Quail.

This is a perfect learning opportunity for students to get into nature and form connections through scientific exploration!
